Tanning Solution

• The action of DHA is limited to the upper layers of the skin, just like regular sun tanning would brown the skin above the base membrane only and not below. With the sun exposure melanocytes realease brown pigments above the base membrane. DHA browns above the base membrane also by reacting with the proteins in the outer skin epidermal layer.
• DHA  reacts with the amino acids and amino groups of the skin keratin forming brown colored compounds.The process takes place in the outer layers of the epidermis.
• In more simple terms the base membrane normally contains the melanocytes that release pigment when exposed to the sun or stimulated by heat producing a regular tan.
  With airbrushing solution the skin produces a Tanned look also above the base membrane but not by the action of melanocytes but through the browning of the epidermal proteins. For this reason an airbrush Tan will last about as long as a regular suntan. Both Tan the skin above the base membrane. Moisturizing the skin will make the Tan last longer.

• This solution also contains Erythrulose which when incorporated with DHA prolongs and produces a more natural looking tan . • According to the new Consumers Report February -05- issue, the panel recommended airbrush tanning has a great alternative to the tanning beds. You get a natural looking tan look without the damaging effects of UV-exposure.
