4th of July Celebration
Note: As a proud US Citizen I should not have to apologize for the length on this newsletter issue. Now more than ever we new to assert our true need for economic and political Independence. Perhaps it will take a New American Revolution to change our country for the better, and not just for our families but for all mankind.
In the present International economic climate, and the pending
effects it will have on our way of life, it is important to review the real
meaning in our fourth of July celebration.
On August 23, 1775 King George III declared the colonies in a state of
rebellion. The colonies were not being properly represented in the monarchy or
allowed to vote on issues affecting their life directly. Social status and
grievance at the time was based on the history of feudalism. The main social
class structure consisted of the king, the lords and the vassals playing key
roles. The peasants were mostly the working class, living and working the
lands. In colonial times concerns would not reach the king directly since the
information had to travel up the social scale. Financial arrangements and
funds would not always reach timely those needing it most, and later even the
lords felt burdened by the fees to be paid going back and forth. Later on
additional taxes were suggested to the colonists in order to help support the
crown which needed extra funds to recover from money spent on wars. For
example, the British monarchy defeated that of France in a battle in 1763,
however at a huge financial cost. The colonist felt that these new suggested
taxes were unfair, specially since they had no true representation. Tea was
highly valued and when tea was taxed, they responded by dumping the tea in the
Boston Harbor. Many of the colonist were educated men working in a new land,
and even those of high status felt a change was needed. Others expressed the
need for men to be treated with basic equal rights, freedom, and not be
confined to a social nobility status by birth and of that of Land ownership.
This led to our Declaration of Independence adopted July 4, 1776 , announcing
the birth of a new nation. The Declaration draws from upon French and English
Enlightenment political philosophy, and from John Locke's Second Treatise on
Government. Locke took inspiration and conceptions of the traditional rights
of Englishmen and universalized them into the Natural rights rights of all
humankind. Before I write down Locke's social-contract theory of
government it would be best to define the word feudalism. In answers.com
feudalism is defined as a political and economic system of Europe
from the 9th to 15th century based on the holding of all land in
fief or fee. Another definition for feudalism is a series of contractual
relationships between the upper classes, designed to maintain control
over the land. Monarchies had become very powerful and struggles arose among
them in order to gain more territory, and to expand their kingdoms.
The concentration of power, opression and lands in the hands of a few
contributed to the decline of feudalism in popularity. A few years later a
famous French young sculptor Frederic-Auguste Bartholdi experienced the
effects when he became a major in the French army. The Germans had annexed the
entire Alsace region near his home city of Colmar, making its residents
without majority consent, German citizens. Bartholdi developed great
admiration for the americans success in establishing a republic democratic
government, declaration of independence, and the abolition of slavery. The
French revolution was in 1789-1799, but during early colonial times France had
helped the colonies with arms, ships, money and even men. After all they had
war experience fighting the British and French noblemen admired the attempts
by the colonists to venture into a new world. France had their own
difficulties in dealing with their aristocratic form of government and later on
even experienced the oppresive rule of Napoleon III.
Bartholdi discussed his wish to offer the Americans a gift from the
people of France while having dinner with French intellectuals, and his
special friend Laboulaye. Edouard Rene Lefebvre de Laboulaye was a leader of a
political group dedicated to establishing a French republican government
modeled on America's Constitution. Names were longer in those days since the
land of ownership and family would be attached to their first names. Thanks to
the personal experience of Bartholdi and his artistic inspiration we received
our Statue of Liberty as a gift from the people of France. The official name
for the statue is "Liberty Enlightening the world" and this is how the French

The remains of feudalism can still be found today in contemporary law
regarding land. For instance, a rental agreement is made between a landlord
(land lord) and a tenant, whose business relationship mirrors that of lord and
a vassal. State property taxes on landowners resemble the services required of
a vassal, and like the old feudal lords, state governments may take posession
of land when a landowner dies with no will or heirs. Also, our sovereignty and
freedoms are slowly being chipped away today. Americans have never been
comfortable with consolidating power or the idea of loosing the Great Nation
that their founding fathers fought so hard for in the past. Most of our
business base is being consolidated or taken out of the country. We were never
a Nation of fear, dependency, or subjugation, but One of Innovation, Creation,
and Inspiration. Teachers could teach, children could learn, doctors could
practice medicine, dentists could practice dentistry, architects could build,
and small business also was able to survive in the local neighborhoods. We did
not allow to be controlled by anything infringing on our way of life. If there
was a problem we would solve it. If there is a chance that something or oil
would be a problem we would use our innovation and save our Republic. For We
the People are our government, electing the public officials to represent us,
and if many do not have our well-being in mind then they should not be serving
us. This trend of political parties constantly calling each other names, and
exposing us to the antagonism but not to the real solutions to our problems
with the true interest of saving our country should not continue. Now we have
a Nasco, a North America Super Corridor Coalition Inc., which is later called
one sentence after International Mid-Continent Trade Corridor and who voted
for that? The public needs to ask these questions and participate more in the
events happening today for if not we will loose our country. We have many US
farmers loosing their farms and why? We have a Constitution, and then later
the Bill of Rights for this is how each colony in the new Union secured their
individual rights so that they would not be infringed. If we care for our
country, children, future and our ability to survive in an international
business world and still be free we must reflect more on the real meaning of
our 4th of July celebration.
Locke's social-contract theory of government
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created
equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights,
that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to
secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men,
deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,
that whenever any Form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is
the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to
institute a new Government, laying its foundation on such principles, and
organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to
effect their Safety and Happiness.
I dedicate this newsletter to all of you for the 4th of July and thanks

also dedicate it to the memory of Napoleon (1769-1821) who died while in political exile (note: his enemies arrows could not defeat him) ,and who helped forge in
France a government based on freedom, resulting in great social reforms, and to
the end of serfdom. He gave the people words of wisdom, "....When governments
depend upon bankers for money, the bankers and not the Leaders of the country
are in control...and money has no mother land." In other words do not sell your country over profits. Today
France so far still enjoys a great republic. And closer to
home, to the memory of General Thomas S. Power (1905-1970) who wrote the book,
Design for Survival in 1964. His message was, "....Someone will have to
decide which road to choose, and that someone must be no other than the
American People. For, in the final analysis, it is they, not the
military or the statesmen, who will have to solve the nation's

It's Up to We the People to preserve our Freedoms, quality of life, and Our Republic democratic form of government. Beware of being deceived into becoming once again enslaved, a serf, loosing your freedom, your economy, your way of life and your land. Wake Up, before it's too late.
