Family Vacation Resorts and Beach Destinations

Surf's Up this month of June with the season for planning a great family fun vacation. For many coming up with a family vacation idea is very simple but for others it could be more complicated making a sound clear decision. If you happen to be on a tight work schedule, and need to be nearby or on call perhaps you may wish to consider becoming a tourist in your own hometown. Many cities have great parks that in the summer permit picnics, sun bathing, barbecues, beach blankets, walking on scenic routes, and even the possibility to play beach volley ball in open spaces set-up specially for sports. Some local parks have built water fountains for the children, and all enjoy wearing their bathing suits while getting wet on a typical hot summer day. Discovering a local scenic bed & breakfast hotel could turn out to be a great place to explore and a new adventure specially if you need to stay nearby. Enjoy a candle light dinner, or a nice dinner at an outdoor type service restaurant. A family could also have great fun visiting local art galleries, museums, nature walks or hikes. A home town mini-vacation could turn out to be quite relaxing, and refreshing. You may wish to write a schedule or itinerary and then follow on the list the pre-selected areas to visit. Some resorts offer family vacation packages that could be purchased in advance. Not all offer an ocean view or beach front, however it saves on having to take a long flight to busy beach destinations. New nearby resorts have many indoor and outdoor activities to include sand in the proximity of the pool area and great palm trees. This gives the feeling and illusion of a true beach vacation in Paradise. Is best to call and ask questions as you do your research to see what other activities may be in the area for children and young adults. Modern resorts usually offer almost everything under one roof, and also are in close proximity to other nearby attractions.
To summarize I would say that some vacations turn out great even if not planned well in advance. You may have a family member, and in my case my sister that decided to call me out of the blue to let me know that we were invited to attend a summer party in Las Vegas at my niece's home. We had to leave the very next morning so that we could be there a night before the event. Since I was in work transition from the spa due to a breach of my contract I decided to go. So, I packed my gym travel bag with my sunless tanner, a set of summer athletic wear, a swimsuit, 2 halter tops, some modern style womens beach wear, and a party dress. In a plastic bag I placed my daily use personal items and some skin care products. We drove out early the very next morning. I enjoyed the drive and had a chance to see the great mountains of the beautiful state of Utah and Arizona. We arrived that night and spent time talking and visiting with our family members. The next day we helped out with preparations and then attended the party that evening. There was excellent food, music, children and adults by pool side enjoying a great time. The next day we all got ready and went to the Las Vegas strip. It was exciting to see and visit the Ceasars hotel & Casino, New York New York, and to walk outside on such a bright sunny day with family and friends. Taking time off and spending time with people you love and cherish is a lot more fullfilling and satisfying to me than winning a dream desired huge jackpot.
One of my most favorite spots was the Red Rock Casino Resort Spa, Las Vegas. This resort offered everything that you may dream from a perfect vacation destination. It had excellent dining, beach type club, huge outdoor pool with the magestic palm trees up in the sky, and beach sand with personal cabanas all the way going towards the huge pool area. Lots of adults and children playing and swimming in the water as if at the most perfect summer destination. Many others laying out on their beach chairs, applying sun tan lotion, reading, listening to the music and enjoying the private cabanas. The beach style club was very fancy in the front yet towards the back with a beach style deck and adults in swimwear enjoying tropical drinks and music. Again, a combination of the indoor and outdoor type activities. I may add good security and very attractive members of the opposite sex with great tans. A true vacation paradise, and all this I saw and had the fortune to experience without too much planning. The spa at the resort offered many treatments with detoxifying sea minerals. The Dance of the Rock spa treatment includes a full body buff, two steps rose stones on body for balancing, a warm wrap that while being enveloped you get a lavender scalp massage. Again, you have all you need right under one roof. The most important part was also arriving safely back home and spending such a great time with family. Laughing, talking, having fun and remembering times past and present with both joy, humor, wisdom and optimism for the future. What else could we wish for from a family vacation.
